catladder3What makes a good cat ladder?

It has to be easy for your cat to use to get into and out of the house; but not so easy that every cat, squirrel and raccoon in the neighborhood can follow your kitty inside.

Cat Ladders Blog is a tribute, in photos and videos, to cat ladders around the world. The multi-language blog includes nearly 800 photos from 15 countries, a link to a Cat Ladder carpenter, and a link to a build your own cat ladder site.

Being remarkably resourceful creatures, cats can learn even a complicated path in just a couple of tries. Some of the ladders on Cat Ladders Blog are incredibly tall; some look scary; and some are architecturally lovely.

We live on the 11th floor, and the only place Noni wants to go is to sleep on BennyBix Ochman Labradoodle Puppy’s bed, so we don’t have one, but we admire these nonetheless.

Here are a few more of the fabulous cat ladders humans around the world have made for their kitties.
