What Would You Give Up for Your Dog?

These are tough economic times. Many people have been forced to give up their beloved pets as a result. And many others are willing to sacrifice daily luxuries, and more, for the sake of their pets.
According to an American Kennel Club survey, more than 50% would cancel their cable or satellite service to pay Fido’s expenses.
In addition:
* 67% would cancel their travel plans if they could not afford to pay to board their dog.
* 65% would regularly eat Ramen noodles before they would skimp on their dogs high quality food.
* 59% would perm or color their own hair in the kitchen sink in order to keep Fido’s appointments at the groomers.
I’ve already given up retail therapy, and I’d give up just about anything for my dog, BennyBix, and my cat, Noni Kitty. How about you?

I have already given up sleeping late, having clean carpets, hairless clothing, and some retail therapy. But how can you put a price on the smell of puppy breath, or the feeling of a warm tongue on your face!

This is such a hard question, isn’t it? We all would give up our lives but I personally know that our senior citizens are giving up their food. Meals on Wheels, a group that delivers food to homebound seniors, tells me that the seniors cannot afford pet food, so they share their meals on wheels food with their pets.
Personally, I would cut back on entertainment, personal luxuries like new shoes or a new purse. I’d do what I needed to do … regardless.
I would give up everythihng, almost lost my life for a dog that I didn`t know, let alone dogs I know such as my kids. :D
